In his article “Commissioners defend animal shelter despite critical audit” published July 17th, 2018 in the Portland Tribune, writer Nick Budnick covers the dust-up between the Multnomah County Auditor and Multnomah County Commissioners who disagree over MCAS performance.  Multnomah Commissioners grilled auditors but not shelter management after an audit found problems had not been addressed more than two years after earlier review.
